ECEH - 4 color screenprint

I arrived at NoPoint Atelier in Balanite, a small village in the Balkan Mountains in Bulgaria, on the first day of autumn. For ten days I drew whatever crossed my path: the shapes in the hills and trees, the curves and corners of the rooms we lived in, and everything else we stumbled upon along the way. The longer I stayed, the more it all started to look like it belonged together.

ECEH is Bulgarian for autumn, and the print is held together by its colours: clear blue skies above forests turning orange and yellow. It holds on to that moment of arrival, and to everything that slowly changed in the days after. Thanks to NoPoint Atelier for the time, the space and the quiet to make it.
